General Information
Dress Code:
- Prom is a formal event and attendees should be dressed accordingly. Here are some guidelines and suggestions to follow:
- Dresses may be strapless, spaghetti strap, one shoulder, etc. so long as it is fitted properly and not revealing.
- Dresses may be backless so long as it is tasteful and not over-exposing.
- Any keyhole necklines should not exceed the bust line.
- 2-piece dresses are permitted so long as only a modest amount of midriff is shown (2-3 inches).
- Dresses may not be shorter than or have a slit that is higher than mid-thigh.
- Undergarments should not be visible and see thru apparel is not permitted.
- Gentlemen should wear dress pants and a dress shirt with tie/bowtie (jacket is optional).
- No jeans, shorts, or baseball caps will be allowed.
Prom is happening at Ruth Eckerd Hall on Saturday April 22, 2023, from 7 pm – 11pm
For safety reasons, no student will be permitted to enter the event after 9pm. Please ensure students are picked up no later than 11pm. We have an incredible team of Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Private Security to ensure the safety of all attending the event.
Ticket sales will be held during lunch Monday 4/17 through Friday 4/21 and the cost will be $60.
Due to the venue’s capacity limitations, we have a set number of tickets available for students to purchase. In order to give every ELHS junior and senior the opportunity to attend prom, tickets will be sold according to the following schedule:
Each ELHS junior and senior is permitted to bring one guest. Guests must be between the ages of 16-20 years old. They will have a separate form they will need to complete with a copy of their government issued ID attached. If the guest is a student at another high school, they must have signed permission from their administrator showing they are in good academic standing. No freshmen students will be permitted to attend prom. All who attend prom are required to abide by the guidelines and expectations as written in the form.
Below you will find the expectations and guidelines for students. Please note that they are not finalized and subject to change prior to the ticket purchase dates.

The official forms will be released as soon as possible to ensure everyone has ample time to complete the necessary requirements and obtain signatures. The junior class board and administration has put a lot of work into making this event possible.

- Starting Thursday 4/20: guest tickets for sophomore students (ELHS and other schools) can be purchased by an ELHS junior or senior if tickets are still available.

- Be dressed appropriately.
- Present themselves in a respectful manner and practice good judgement.
- Remain inside the venue. Students are not permitted to return once they leave. No re-entry. No
exceptions. - Take responsibility for personal items (purses, phones, shoes, etc.)
- Students must bring a photo ID and their ticket to enter. No pictures/screenshots of either will be accepted.
- Any student suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be removed from the property immediately and a parent will be called to pick their child up. Additionally, PCS disciplinary consequences will follow as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct.
- Ruth Eckerd Hall and ELHS are not responsible for lost/stolen items (shoes, accessories, money, phones, etc.).
- Cars will be searched as you enter the parking lot. If any alcohol or illegal substances are found, all students in the car will not be permitted to enter. A parent/guardian will be called to retrieve the vehicle and students.
- Students are subject to a security clearance including a metal detector and wand. If a student has any substances such as alcohol, illegal drugs, or vape pens- they will not be permitted inside the venue. Do not conceal items in shoes, undergarments, pant waist/belts, etc. Local law enforcement will be on site in addition to the venue’s private security.
- There will be no refund issued. No exceptions.
